A taut fabric deck stretched over a low frame, so your dog lies just off the floor rather than directly on it. In summer that means air moving underneath instead of a warm cushion, and on a tiled kitchen floor it means they are not settling down on cold stone.
The frame is powder-coated steel and pushes together without tools. The deck laces on tightly enough to stay flat under a dog that circles before settling. It is built to be hosed down outside and left to dry, which makes it an easy option for a garden, a utility room or the back of a car. The whole cot comes apart flat for storage or for taking away with you.
