Rook Magnetic Dryer Vent Connector

A dryer vent hose that connects and disconnects with a magnet instead of a clamp. You push the dryer back, the two halves find each other and seal; you pull it out to clean behind it, and they part without you lying on the floor with a screwdriver.

The magnets self-align, so the connection does not depend on you getting the angle right in a gap you cannot see into.

Worth knowing before you buy — please read this before ordering

• It is sold as universal. It is not. Two thirds of the negative reviews are fitment problems, split evenly between people whose vent configuration is wrong for it and people whose dryer it simply did not fit. This is the single thing to check before you buy, and it is why we are putting it first rather than in a footnote.
• Your vent needs to run straight out behind the dryer. If your ducting turns immediately and goes up through a ceiling, into an attic, or off to one side, the short rigid connector will not line up. Buyers with those setups are the most disappointed.
• Measure your duct. It fits 4-inch ducting. Anything else will not seal, and a dryer vent that does not seal puts warm damp lint into the room instead of outside.
• Check the length. At 2.6ft it is deliberately short, to keep the run efficient. If your dryer sits well away from the wall, measure first.
