Coats end up on the floor mostly because the hooks are too high to bother with. Nubbin is a wooden rail of five rounded pegs meant to be fixed at child height, so bags, dressing gowns and the hat that is always missing have somewhere reachable to live.
The pegs are turned from solid wood and screw into the rail rather than being glued on, so they take a loaded schoolbag without working loose over a term. The rail has two keyhole slots on the back for a straightforward wall fixing, and screws and wall plugs are included. The finish is a clear matt lacquer that shows the grain and wipes clean when fingers find it.
