Is it as bright as a TV?

No, and we won’t pretend it is. It’s made for dim or dark rooms, which is exactly when movie night happens. In a sunlit room the picture will look washed out.

What’s the picture quality, honestly?

Native 720p. It plays 1080p and 4K files smoothly, but it shows them at its own native resolution. In a dark room, on a big wall, it looks crisp and cozy. It isn’t a 4K home cinema.

Do I need a laptop or a streaming stick?

No. Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video run straight from the built-in system over Wi-Fi 6. You can also mirror your phone screen wirelessly.

Can we really watch it on the ceiling?
