Most cutlery trays either swim around in the drawer or refuse to let it close. This one expands across the middle, so you set it to the width you actually have and the leftover space goes to something useful instead.
It slides from 12 to 21 inches and holds wherever you stop it, with five fixed compartments and two more that open up as it extends. The bamboo is finished smooth along every edge, so it does not shed splinters in among the forks, and non-slip pads under the base keep the tray from sliding forward each time the drawer shuts. Wipe it out with a damp cloth and let it dry; it is not for the dishwasher.
