A kettle gets used more than anything else in the kitchen, so the small things matter. The Havel has a spout that pours without dribbling down the side, a lid that opens with one thumb, and a handle that stays cool when the water is at full boil.
At 1.7 litres it holds enough for a full pot of tea or four mugs at once, and a window down the side shows the level so you can boil only what you actually need. It sits on a cordless base and lifts off from any angle, which helps when the socket is tucked in a corner. A removable limescale filter in the spout catches the bits before they reach the cup, and the kettle switches off on its own the moment it comes to the boil.
