Gale Dryer Vent Cleaning Kit

Lint builds up in a dryer vent whether you can see it or not, and a blocked duct makes a dryer work harder and run longer. This is the cheap tool that lets you deal with it yourself.

Worth knowing before you buy — fit first

• Check your vacuum's hose diameter before ordering. The connector is a fixed size and does not stretch. Roughly a sixth of the negative reviews are people whose vacuum it would not fit. Measure the end of your hose.
• Manage your expectations on what it pulls out. The largest single complaint, about a quarter of the negatives, is that it did not work as well as the videos suggest. On a duct that has never been cleaned it pulls out a great deal. On one cleaned last year it will not, and that is the tool working correctly rather than failing.
• It reaches about 31 inches. That covers the run behind most dryers. A long duct through a wall or roof needs a rod kit, not this.
• We do not make energy-saving claims for this. It is sold elsewhere on lowering electricity bills. A clear vent does help a dryer run efficiently, but we have no way to put a number on it for your machine and your duct, so we will not pretend to.
