    Reading light exactly where you need it, without an outlet behind the sofa. The arc reaches out over a seat from a base that stands well clear of the furniture, so the light lands on your book rather than on the wall behind you.

    The weighted disc base keeps the whole thing steady even at full extension. The head tilts, so you can aim it at a chair in the evening and swing it back over the rug when the room is busy. A foot switch on the cord means you are not reaching up into a hot shade to turn it off.
