Everything you need stays on you instead of in a pile at the far end of the bed. Bramwell carries secateurs, twine, plant labels and a phone across five pockets, so you can work your way down a border without walking back to the shed every few minutes.
The waxed canvas sheds a light shower and brushes clean once it dries, and it softens with use rather than staying stiff. The waist strap adjusts through a metal slider, and the cross-back straps spread the load off your neck when the pockets are full. Pockets are bar-tacked at the corners, which is where a loaded apron usually gives way first.
