Worth knowing before you buy

  • These are accent lights, and the brightness is the main complaint. Two fifths of the negative reviews say they are dimmer than expected, with one buyer comparing them to a night light. They wash a wall, light a picture and give a hallway a glow. They will not light a room to read in, and no battery sconce of this size would.
  • Battery life falls sharply at full brightness. Run at the lower end of the dimmer and they last considerably longer.
  • Check both units on arrival. Around a third of the critical reviews are assembly faults out of the box, most often the light and base not lined up. If yours is off, email support@kivorahome.com rather than trying to force it.
